‘Ullhas-2K26’ Annual Fest Kicks Off with Grandeur at Nagarjuna Institute of Engineering, Technology and Management

The campus of Nagarjuna Institute of Engineering, Technology and Management (NIETM), run by the Maitrey Educational Society, buzzed with energy as its annual social gathering, ‘Ullhas-2K26’, was inaugurated with great pomp and show on Tuesday, April 7.The gala event, held on the college premises, witnessed a convergence of distinguished personalities from the academic and social sectors.
The ceremony was formally inaugurated by Dr. Manali M. Kshirsagar, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. In her keynote address, Dr. Kshirsagar emphasized the pivotal role of cultural activities in the holistic development of students. Furthermore, in the current era of intense competition, there is an urgent need to provide skill development training to tribal youth to make them employable. She appealed to the Maitrey Educational Management to take the initiative in this regard and shoulder the responsibility for providing the training.
“While academic excellence is the foundation, platforms like ‘Ullhas’ are essential for nurturing creativity, leadership, and the overall personality of future engineers,” she stated.
The event was graced by the top leadership of the Maitrey Educational Society, including Mr. Pradeep K. Nagrare, Secretary (MES) & Mr. Kuldeep P. Ramteke, Treasurer (MES). Prof. Rasik Upadhye, Principal of NIETM, presided over the function, welcoming the guests and highlighting the institute’s recent achievements.
Mr. Kuldeep Ramteke, Treasurer (MES), graced the occasion, emphasizing the institute’s commitment to fostering holistic development beyond the classroom. In his address, He highlighted that such festivals are essential for nurturing leadership and creative excellence in future engineers, urging students to balance technical proficiency with the spirit of innovation and camaraderie.
Mr. Pradip K. Nagrare, Secretary (MES) motivated students by championing the 3C formula: Commitment, Consistency, and Confidence. Citing Sachin Tendulkar’s 22-year journey to World Cup glory, he emphasized that peak success requires the same singular focus and daily discipline exhibited by the cricket legend, urging students to apply this mindset to their future careers.
Mr. Ajay Waghmare, President (MES), extended his heartfelt appreciation to the organizers and students during the vibrant “Ullhas 2k26” annual festival held at the NIETM.
‘Ulhas-2K26’ served as a vibrant stage for students to exhibit their multifaceted talents. The inaugural day featured cultural captivating performances in music, dance, fashion show, debate, singing and drama that drew massive applause from the audience.The successful execution of the inaugural ceremony was credited to the dedicated efforts of Coordinator Prof. Diksha Bansod, Convener Prof. Manish Thool, and the entire teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. Prof. Swati Jadhav anchor the inaugural ceremony as well as proposed the vote of thanks. The atmosphere on campus remains electric as the festivities are set to continue over the next few days.
